My mandate was set.
I had rediscovered myself and enjoyed guiding others, like me, find themselves and rediscover their purpose.
I was serving my peers and young professionals.
This was it for me, or so I thought.
Until last year when GenZ and Millennials started joining my coaching class.
Something reawakened in me. A part of me that I thought was gone forever came alive.
You see, slightly more than a decade ago, I had served in youth ministry.
I never once thought that my ability to connect with young people would be put to use again.
But here I was, talking to them, coaching them, laughing with them, and by the Grace of God, guiding them to discover their untapped potential.
In a few days, KCSE results will be out, and parents as well as ex-candidates, will be wondering what next?
I have coached students in University whose career choice was made entirely on the basis of the result slip, with no consideration of their wiring.
Again, it’s impossible for one to see where they are going, if they don’t understand what they have in their hand.
The best gift you could give that young person is the ability to know their uniqueness and the courage to tap into it. Safari Njema!
