This past month has been quite challenging for me.
Yeah, I know the posts have been nothing like it. I’ll get to that later.
So, yesterday, I receive a call from one of the leading bookstores. And because of where I’ve been at mentally, I thought the worst – they probably wanted to pull out the book because of poor sales.
This is one of those stores that is big on shelf space.
The representative asked me about my strategy for the year. I explained what I have in mind. He went on to give me a brief of the performance of both editions of Power Your Vision.
To be honest, it was more than my current frame of mind expected.
Then he told me something that shifted the course of my day – and probably the year. “Your book is deep and impactful. I have read it and only wish I was in a position to write a review. I was calling to place an order and encourage you to keep doing what you are doing. One day your book sales will pick up and your name will be heard across the nations.”
And just like that, my day was made, my friend.
I wanted to share some learnings even as I reflected on this past month;
- Keep going even in the midst of challenges, even when you don’t feel like doing it. Every little effort counts.
- Be so intentional about your journey, that you are unable to keep score. I have had no idea what the progress looks like, I keep putting in the work. The results are simply a pay-off.
And finally, I want to say thank you for every review, for attending the webinar, for tuning in to Soul Garage, for reading my posts, for commenting, for liking, for being my friend. You have been the wind beneath my wings. God bless you
As we prepare to step into February, I pray you choose to Power Your Vision….and may the days ahead get brighter.Safari Njema!
