I had been in the corporate space, then experienced a downtime where I was out of work for a while.
When the light began to come on, I somehow did not just tap into my professional experience; but surprisingly rediscovered ‘dead’ childhood gifts – that would be a great asset in my new journey.
I had seen it but was somehow too afraid to go it alone. I made attempts to get into business partnerships that failed.
I finally summoned the courage to step out, and started writing, which led to recording YouTube videos, and the doors to speak before people in church gatherings began to open.
It was obvious, something new was happening in me.
But I had to overcome discouraging voices.
Some people openly wondered how I would find my identity and calling at my age.
Some people never thought I had much to offer and expressed their limited opinion through curt remarks aimed at putting me down. A few spoke to me directly, while others only by proxy.
These moments were lonely and discouraging, but I held on to the vision, because it was all I had.
Powering your vision will require you to rise above negative voices, to become all God created you to be.
