Everything you are is embedded within you.
The problem is, many times it’s covered by the hurt, pain and criticism we have had to take in our life journey.
Those callous comments that made you stop believing in yourself, that mockery when you dared to dream, and that cutting down when you were simply different…all that served to dim your light.
You see, we live in a society that is wired to box you into their idea of who you should be, and label you when you don’t quite fit into that box.
Whether you know it or not, we all subliminally begin to adjust to the mould.
That, my friends, has been my story. Until only recently, when I had to contend with my TRUE IDENTITY – not a new identity.
I had to contend with who Judy was, has been, and always will be.
I had to face up to the fact that yes, I had conformed.
I had conformed in my quest to find approval.
I had conformed in my quest to be normal.
I had conformed in my quest to find acceptance.
Only when I hit the plateau I talked about last week, did it occur to me, that I had sold myself short.
No, I didn’t sell myself short to the world.
I had undersold myself to myself.
I needed to call myself into the inner boardroom and face up to the fact that I had for years been comfortable in a camouflage.
I had to reintroduce myself to me.
And then reintroduce myself to the world.
Friends, evolving is not becoming something you are not.
It’s becoming everything YOU ARE.
It’s finding courage to show up in your true element.
It’s about making peace with the fact that you have to come out of your cocoon.
It’s about deciding that you have to stop playing safe.
It’s accepting your strengths, wearing them confidently and presenting your light to shine your world.
And so, this week my charge to us…allow your light to shine.
Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Bon Voyage 😊
