As you journey through life, you will go through those moments when you know you truly heard the GPS and flow with it, you will encounter bends and navigate them, and yes, you will find dead ends.
You will encounter Closed Doors.
As I was journeying through my career, I one time had the illusion that my path as an Administrator was set. I had come from the lowest rank as a Receptionist, rose through the career ladder to become a Personal Assistant, and learnt every part of running a business – on-the-job.
In an interesting turn, I happened to meet someone who got me a paid internship in one of the large corporations.
Everyone was impressed with my work, and let’s just say, Judy Mzungu was on her way to settling as a well-paid Secretary.
Friends, that door closed.
I missed that opportunity.
And for a while, could not understand why ‘everything’ I tried never worked.
As I write this note this morning, am grateful to God for that closed door.
There would never have been a Salesperson after that, there would never have been a Marketer, and there would never have been a Kingdom Life Coach or The ReAlignment Program.
Some doors will close.
You may never understand why, but trust me, one day you’ll look back and thank God they closed.
It may seem like you have missed some opportunities, lost a job, lost a relationship.
Trust me, one day, you’ll look back and thank God.
While I still pursue opportunities, seek after partnerships, and give my best in relationships, I have learnt to respectfully accept when a door closes.
I have learnt that when God does not allow a door to open, He is preserving you and has a better plan for you.
May you, as you journey through life, have confidence in what God has deposited in you, offer it to the world, and then understand when certain doors cannot accommodate everything you are, they simply Close.
And that the Right Door eventually Opens.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
